What to expect for their first class

On arrival the kids will be greeted by our staff, shown around the studio (which includes common areas such as our student waiting area and bathroom facilities) and shown where to put their belongings. Our instructors will show each child the entry codes for the doors (2580# which is in an easy to remember pattern).

Kids will be introduced to their instructors and to the other students in their class and be given a brief run down of what to expect.

They will then be taken through a group warm up and will split off into groups for aerial hammock and aerial hoop skills. Halfway through classes kids will swap over and get to try out the other apparatus. At the end of class kids will complete a group cool-down. 

Our Intro to Circus classes are designed for students that have never tried aerial arts before, kids don't need to be strong, flexible or have prior dance or gymnastics history to be able to take part and enjoy class.

The most important thing kids need to do is to focus on having fun!

What to wear/bring to intro to circus classes

  • Leggings or shorts
  • ​Singlet Top, t-shirt or long sleeved top
  • Bare feet or socks
  • Water Bottle​

Things to note:
  • Ensure your children's clothing has no zips or metal embellishments, and remove all jewellery, especially rings, bracelets and watches as these damage our aerial hammocks.
  • Ensure kids arrive only 5 - 15 minutes before class.
  • Unfortunately we don't allow parents/caregivers to wait at the studio while classes are running. We will however, have a showcase at the end of the year so that you can see what your child has been learning.

We are located along Kenepuru Drive, in between RS Lane + the Hospice Charity Shop. Our premise sign writing is hard to miss!

You can park directly in front of the studio or anywhere along Kenepuru Drive.

**IMPORTANT NOTE**
Our studio opens at 3:15pm Mon - Thurs. When we are open our main front doors (as pictured above) will be unlocked for you to enter. Once inside you will need to use the entry code 2580# to enter through the 2nd door.
During their first class, kids will be shown the code and how to unlock the door in person.
