we are a uniform studio
Uniforms help to ensure students are setup for success in the classroom. It is important that students wear aerial-appropriate clothing, as aerial arts include a lot of going upside down, skin conditioning and interaction with their apparatuses.
- Reduces competition/peer pressure to wear the latest trends.
- Builds community and a sense of belonging
- Gives students pride in themselves and their studio.
- Protects our students skin from burns and bruises.
- Prevents overly loose clothing which falls on students heads or risks getting stuck in the apparatus.
- Protects our equipment from metal buttons and zips.
- Helps get students to get 'in the zone' for class.
order HERe
Uniform orders for Term 2 are now open! Orders close on 23 April 2025.
Requirements
- Any TCA Branded top of your choosing.
+ - Plain black leggings/shorts/pants.
You are more than welcome to source your own plain black bottoms - or you can order these through us if you prefer. - One piece unitards are also available for purchase. Aerialists can choose to wear this instead of the top + bottoms combo mentioned above.
a note on loose fitting clothing
Due to the 'upside down' nature of aerial arts, fitted clothing is a practical option for students to wear.
We have included some looser fitting options for students to wear to class (e.g. our t-shirt and long sleeve top) as we recognise these may be more comfortable for some students depending on their preferences. These are also great options to wear casually, out of the house!
However, in the past we have noticed that it is very common for students (especially young girls) to be uncomfortable wearing a t-shirt to class as it constantly falls down while they are upside down. They then 'let go' of their apparatus to try and tuck the top back in. This is both a safety issue and distracting for them.
If your aerialist prefers wearing a t-shirt or loose long sleeve top to class please consider pairing this with a sports bra underneath so that they can train without concern.
