This development group is an optional programme for students who aspire to take their training and goals to the next level. Students do not need to be in an advanced level to be accepted into the programme.
Aspiring Aerialists are be provided with an additional 1.5hr weekly training session, performance opportunities and older students in the programme may be provided with assistant instructing opportunities to help develop them into confident aerialists with a pathway into instructing. There is a weekly fee to participate in the Aspiring Aerialist Development programme.
Students in this programme will attend extended training sessions weekly on top of their regular classes. They will be taken through guided flexibility and conditioning exercises, will work on refining skills and techniques, and will train and practise for performance opportunities.

Auditions have closed
Auditions are held annually and will run again at the end of 2025 (or the start of 2026).

- Students in the programme gain an extra 1.5hrs of training time per week, helping to advance and refine their skills further.
- There is a weekly fee of $27 per week to participate in the programme.
- Older/advanced students may be offered assistant instructing opportunities.
- There is the opportunity for children to compete in the AYAC competition in Christchurch at the end of the year. (Travel/accom costs apply)
- Students in this group will be given opportunities for solos in the TCA Kids concert.
- Costumes will be provided complimentary for community/competition performance opportunities provided under the AADG. (However, show levies for the TCA Kids Student concert will still apply).
- The programme will take them through training new moves, working on combos and transitions, they will train their flexibility do extra strength and conditioning too. Students will also prepare for their upcoming performances during the sessions.
